My name is Kimberly Gray. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in this field for over 30 years. Over the years, I've worked in a variety of clinical settings including community mental health centers, inpatient settings, drug and alcohol, and in the school district providing services to students and collaborating with parents. I’ve worked with various populations and people from varied backgrounds. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, grief/loss, stress, life transitions, and relationship issues. I understand that no one’s life is picture perfect, not even mine. I have endured hardships and loss. I’ve lost both parents and people that I love. I have gotten my feelings hurt, experienced the loss of love, money and time. I know what true grief looks like and feels like. I know what it is to feel alone and vulnerable and feeling like you have nowhere to turn. At the end of the day, yes, I am a therapist, but I am also a human being who has experienced hardship and loss.
I was born and raised in Philadelphia. I went to high school at Abington Friends. After high school, I moved to Atlanta to attend Spelman college and earned a B.A. in English and B.A in American History. After undergrad, I went to Wilfred Beauty Academy. Yes, I am licensed cosmetologist and I do makeup and hair in my non-existent free time. I actually had an entire career as a set artist in New York and California. I had the pleasure of working with many celebrities, in TV, print and beauty work. Eventually, I went back to school and got a MBA in Healthcare Administration from Eastern University, then a Master’s in Social Services and Master's in Law and Social Policy from Bryn Mawr College. In all, it’s been a good life. I have no complaints.
Now that you have learned a little about me, I hope to hear from you. If you are ready to start therapy and make some real changes, give me a call at 267-438-2600 to make an appointment.
